Pressure Safety - Module 1
If pressurised equipment fails when in use, it can lead to serious injuries, damage to property and harm to the environment. Each year in Great Britain alone, there are in the region of 150 reported dangerous occurrences involving an unintentional release of pressure, and around six of these result in fatal or serious injuries. Understanding what pressure is and how it works is the first step to reducing the risks associated with pressurised equipment. In this course we will explain what pressure is and look at the differences between static, dynamic and differential pressure. You will also learn of the various ways in which we measure pressure.
